My Work

Life these days can feel like a high pressure balancing act. As a therapist, I help my clients find more ease and grace as they walk through a difficult world. If you’re looking for a therapist with a gentle yet firm approach, we should talk.

I specialize in therapy for Black women and other women of color, first- and second-generation immigrants, and other marginalized communities. Many of my clients are helping professionals who need a space to step out of the “helper” role for a moment. I bring over a decade of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, and have specialized training in treating trauma and problems with eating or body image.

My style of therapy will help you find greater authenticity and acceptance in your life, while also giving you concrete tools for change. We’ll work to integrate body and mind to help you release the impact of negative past experiences.

If you’re interested in connecting, you can book a free, 20-minute phone consultation to learn more about me and my work. I hope to hear from you!

My Story

As the child of Jamaican immigrants, I’ve borne witness to the stigma and difficulty communities of color face in accessing mental health care. But I’ve also witnessed how powerful that care can be. In fact, it was seeing the amazing care members of my family received during a crisis that inspired me to enter this field. I knew that I wanted to one day support others in the same ways.

I live in San Francisco, but I was born and raised in New Jersey. One bit of California culture shock I may never get used to? I still abhor pumping my own gas!
